AGOF was a dream created, inspired and executed by Stella Tessler. A rambunctious and fun-loving wife and mother of three, Stella has always had the philosophy that goodness and generosity, laughter and kindness, and being both genuine and accessible are the way to get through life.
AGOF is the culmination of a lifetime filled with family, friends, laughter and observation.
“Everyone dreams, in some way, of changing the world,” Stella remarks. “AGOF and all it is becoming is my way of changing, even if only in a small way, a portion of the world.”
Her goal, to inspire people to learn more about the world they live in, to allow people the opportunity to dream of a world in which everyone reaches out to each other and a safe place to believe that it is all possible.
AGOF is a place filled with beautiful merchandise from around the world. However, AGOF is more than a store which carries inspirational and spiritual music, art, jewelry, etc. It’s a place where people feel as if they’re part of something.
It is an incredible store. More importantly, however, it’s an extraordinary experience.
In the coming months, you will be witness to many changes as AGOF continues to grow. Stella’s personal philosophy, “Pay it Forward” will be evident throughout the store and the online experience.
Stella and AGOF are in the beginning phases of locating an additional storefront location. While that process is underway, the online experience will continue to grow. More merchandise will become available online. Additional interactive areas will be accessible to all. In the planning stages are an online conversation pit, book suggestions, recipes, volunteer and “pay it forward” opportunities for all, travel suggestions and much more.

ABOUT STELLA
Stella has spent her life with her roots firmly planted in Port Jefferson while spreading her branches in many different directions. Having grown up in a huge, Greek family and being surrounded by the restaurant business, Stella learned a strong work ethic from a very young age. Stella went on to marry her best friend (she has known Dan since she was a child) and have three children, Bryan, 18 (who will be spending this fall in Ghana, Africa, helping villagers grow their businesses), Michael, 13 (who is an accomplished singer and actor) and Morgan Rose, 7 (who is the center of her family’s universe). Prior to opening AGOF, Stella was a journalist and entrepreneur. Today, she resides in Port Jefferson Village and enjoys her friends, family, traveling, Disney World, Dirty Martinis and sushi. |
